Massman was involved in building the Broadway Bridge, which is dedicated to the vets of all branches of the military. The $98.4 million bid became the largest ever awarded by the Arkansas Highway Commission, and Massman's bid was also the shortest in terms of out-of-service length for the bridge. More than 25,000 vehicles cross the bridge each day, which meant construction needed to be very quick. Massman will build part of the substructure of the new bridge while the old bridge is standing, and the entire project is anticpated to be done by January 2017.
What makes it interesting?
This is the largest bid awarded in Arkansas Highway Commission history, and Massman was chosen based on both the lowest bid and the shortest out-of-service time.
