The Bell Boulevard Easterly Extension project involved construction of a four-lane arterial road and bridge with an observation deck over the Moira River through a city park in Belleville, Ontario, Canada. The project also included the extension of a water main under the bridge.
What makes it interesting?
Working within the park involved many construction restrictions. As part of the $15.2 million project, Gordon Barr Limited planted several hundred trees and shrubs as compensation for the trees lost in construction.

The tender was very complicated, with over 750 bid items. It would have been impossible to evaluate and enter the numerous materials and subcontractor prices without HeavyBid and the road construction software features. The tender had to be completed with all tender items and delivered to the City of Belleville before 11 a.m. on the closing day.
