HeavyBid 2025.0 Releases
Here are the updates released in Q1 2025, whether they’re feature requests from last year’s UGM or general maintenance items and improvements.
Classic ETA Sunset REMINDER - The ‘HeavyJob and Accounting (Classic)’ Export Subsystem will be sunset in 2026 with the release of HeavyBid 2026.0.
Sync Quote Folders - We've expanded the ability to review Quote Folder information online after syncing an estimate to Pre-Construction. Users in your company with access to HeavyBid Pre-Construction can see a read-only view of selected vendors and quote information straight from the quote sheet inside of your HeavyBid estimate (without touching the estimate!) Maximize your communication with procurement teams and project management.
2024 UGM REQUEST LIST
- Added a section for "Adjustments for Bid/Takeoff Differences" to the Estimate Recap Reports Plus report.
- Added the ability to show Crew Details when looking at past Estimate data from Estimate History.
- Added a confirmation box to the Customized Bid Proposal Footnotes editing window to help catch when changes have been made that haven't been saved.
- Added the ability to filter the Tree View, Edit Activity Data view, and Estimate Entry - Spreadsheet View by Additive or Non-Add Activities.
- Added the ability to make bulk changes to highlighted items in the Workers Comp Code column of the Activity Codebook.
- Updated text for the Estimate Review option to flag Resources where the "Tax/OT % < 100 or > 150" to make it clearer that this check includes Labor & Material resources.
MAINTENANCE & SYSTEM IMPROVEMENTS
- Added an option to NOT export Non-Add Extracted Resources in the Export to HeavyJob.
- Added a template to the 'Import Quote Prices' wizard to support bringing prices back from Bulk Exchange.
- Updated the Activity Productivity Information and Options labels to right-align them against their corresponding text boxes.
- Improved HeavyBid's ability to communicate with recent versions of Microsoft Office to support the "Link to Excel" feature.
- Improved the System backup to Estimate History for HeavyBid SQL systems.
- Added a new DOT import template to support the updated AMTEK bid schedule.
- Improved the Estimate Entry - Spreadsheet View, Customize tab to always show the "Schedule Days" filter.
- Improved the Change Order Budget Review to show all revenue codes with changes even if the Revenue Code is empty and the "Do not Export Empty Revenue Codes" option is selected.
HEAVYBID PRE-CONSTRUCTION NEW RELEASES
Archive Projects - As HeavyBid Pre-Construction hits its 5th birthday, it’s time to introduce the ‘Archive’ feature for system maintenance. Maximize your insights with cleaner data by archiving those old projects that are no longer relevant.
Calendar Integration Updates - Improvements to performance and security. You can now see events show up on your calendar more quickly and sync faster after making changes in HeavyBid Pre-Construction.
Contact Interaction History - Start leveraging the digital notepad in Contact Management. By adding these interaction notes, everyone in your business unit can see & share the latest dialogue with your contacts — making it easier to stay up-to-date on the latest developments in your projects.
