Millstone Weber, a longtime HCSS HeavyBid customer, was selected by the Missouri Highways and Transportation Commission to rebuild 8 miles of I-270 in St. Louis. This $278 million dollar heavy highway construction project is the largest Millstone Weber has ever been awarded as the General Contractor. It is also the Missouri Department of Transportation’s largest single project this decade.
“HeavyBid was instrumental in helping us secure the project,” said Estimator Ryan Taylor. “Thank you to the HCSS team for the support!”
The I-270 North Design-Build Project will provide an economic boost for the community as Millstone Weber reconstructs interchanges, adds lanes of pavement, and improves accessibility for both cyclists and pedestrians.
MoDOT expects the work to improve traffic operations, link nearby communities, and enhance reliability within the I-270 corridor. In the past, the area has presented unique challenges with its high traffic, including 25,000 heavy trucks per day.
As one of the heaviest-traveled interstates, the corridor has higher than average crash rates coming from both directions of I-270, as well as limited pedestrian facilities.
HCSS customers like Millstone Weber are taking on challenging and impactful work every day with the support of the most trusted software in the industry. We are proud to be partners with the companies and people who are building America.
