Icy weather, snow, power outages, burst pipes, and boil-water notices – Winter Storm Uri caused extensive damage in Texas, but the longest-lasting impact were the incredible volume of homes in need of pipe repair – estimated in the tens, if not hundreds, of thousands. Damages from Uri quickly overwhelmed the states’ supply chain and plumbing capacity.
Within days, as the damage to homes became apparent and plumbing supplies dwindled, Buesing Corp, a great HCSS customer based in Phoenix, Arizona, secured a truckload of supplies and water and sent them over to Texas. What an incredible act of kindness!
The supplies donated by Buesing Corp were utilized by a plumbing company that donated their time to come down from West Virginia to help homeowners whose homes had suffered damages. Pallets of water sent by Buesing Corp were also directly distributed to those in need.
The Texas County of Fort Bend issued an official Proclamation commending Buesing Corp for their “essential contributions.” As a token of appreciation, HCSS Executives traveled to Arizona to personally present Buesing Corp with the Proclamation along with an award to recognize their generosity.
In total, the effort directly helped over 200 homeowners, and HCSS scheduling software HCSS Dispatcher was used to schedule the plumbing jobs. As a member of the Houston and Fort Bend County community, HCSS thanks Buesing Corp for stepping in when we needed it most!
