There are so many to choose from, but here are a few excellent choices to help make the selection process easier for you.
Townhall (Everyone)
What’s New in HeavyBid and Pre-Construction: Kicking off after the Keynote, the annual Townhall is a major event for EVERYONE in estimating. We’ll go through the latest changes in HeavyBid and Pre-Construction to get you up to speed on the most current releases.
Classes for Newer Estimators (0-2 Years of Experience)
For beginning classes focused on HeavyBid basics, here are three sessions that can give you the foundation you need to build strong legs using HeavyBid.
The Fundamentals of Labor and Equipment Setup: If you need a first pass at understanding the basics of using Labor and Equipment resources with HeavyBid, we’ll provide an overview of how to structure and set up labor and equipment to use in an estimate.
Understanding the Basics of Summary and Pricing: Here, newer Estimators can walk through the basics of Summary and Pricing in HeavyBid. We'll dive into Bid Summary to learn how to efficiently close out the bid and feel confident in your spreads and overrides.
Setting Up & Deciding Between Indirects & Holding Accounts: This session provides a first pass at understanding the difference between setting up and spreading costs from a holding account vs. an indirect bid item.
Classes for Seasoned Estimators (2+ Years of Experience)
For those of you who are comfortable with the HeavyBid basics and want to know what else HeavyBid can do to save you time, these sessions may be for you. Intermediate estimators can dive into advanced conversations around multiple topics that might be well-worth your time.
Working with Codebooks: Even if codebook & system maintenance isn’t your direct responsibility, you can contribute to making your life easier! Let’s discuss what patterns show up when it’s time to update and iterate on coding, data, and automations with codebooks.
Creating & Automating the Use of Spreadsheet Calculations & Assemblies: We’ll review the ideal method for creating, modifying, and using Spreadsheet Calculations and Assemblies in HeavyBid, as well as how to automate getting them applied to an estimate.
Quote Folders Are the Fastest Way to Manage Quotes on Bid Day: Managing vendor quotes in the final moments is stressful. We’ll cover how to let the Quote System build out the folders you need automatically.
