There are several pieces of homework to complete before coming to HCSS.
Technical requirements call
During this call, HCSS will introduce our process and methodology to your team. We will discuss who will be on the customer and HCSS teams, so it is important that your entire software implementation team is involved in this all. We will talk general next steps and lay out the implementation timeline, as well as recapping goals and objectives for implementation. This call will last 15-20 minutes.
Functional requirements call
During this call, we will discuss aligning business needs and processes with our software, learning your business processes and identifying ways to improve those processes with our software. This call eliminates some of the discovery process during your actual implementation. Ideally, everyone on the team would be involved in this call.
Installing the software
Setting up your software prior to your two-day design session means that setup and implementation data can be directly installed, and all preferences, library setup, and master templates are in place. There is no transition for this data, and there is less on the to-do list coming out of the process design session. Please call our HCSS Support department in order to install the software.

Completing the implementation workbook
We ask that you complete the implementation workbook that will be sent to you and fill out the process templates provided. You will need to define your implementation team and discuss why you bought the software, what you want it to do, and what your needs and expectations are.
Using the software
In order to reduce rework and limit frustrations, HCSS recommends waiting until you have completed the entire implementation experience to begin working in the system. We want to lay the groundwork for good processes and procedures and avoid the creation of any bad habits that may arise. We assure you that we will help you fully understand the system and demonstrate all features during implementation.
