The goals of the Pima Road – Loop 101 Project were to bring Pima Road up to the City of Scottsdale Master Plan standards, add drainage improvements, improve traffic flows, provide added safety for both pedestrians and vehicles, reduce delay times at intersections, improve non-motorized circulation including equestrian travelers, and preserve neighborhood character.
What makes it interesting?
The Construction-Manager-at-Risk process allowed the city to bring Achen-Gardner on board during the design to provide ongoing and realistic cost information, early coordination with utilities and nearby private and public projects, construction impact expertise, and stakeholder coordination and notification.
