The ATI Brackenridge project involved intensive amounts of time and effort. Multiple estimates, including various scope changes and tight schedules, made the estimating process quite a challenge. Being able to quickly copy an original estimate and make the requested changes were a huge bonus. The project involved constructing a new specialty metals mill in a congested location. The scope varied with structural excavation, pile driving, concrete foundations, rebar installation, along with structural steel and finishing packages. Mascaro Self-performed 33,000 cubic yards of concrete with 4,000 tons of reinforcing steel for ATI’s new high-tech rolling mill.

How HCSS Software assisted with this project
All pricing for the project, as well as pricing change orders and managing costs, was done using Heavybid. The ease of data entry and manipulation within the estimates helped Mascaro be responsive to the owner’s requests. Several iterations of this estimate were created and managed with ease as Mascaro worked through negotiations with the owner.
