The Red Road Program Phase II, III, and IV is three continuous projects consisting of construction of approximately two miles of bulkhead wall along a city canal in Hialeah, FL in order to widen the adjacent road.
What makes it interesting?
The wall was redesigned from a permanent steel sheet pile system to entirely precast concrete system, saving the owner millions of dollars, with no increase to the contract duration or additional impact to stakeholders.
How HCSS Software assisted with this project
HeavyBid was used to successfully win all three jobs, and to quantify/price the precast value engineering proposal. HeavyBid was instrumental in getting the VE proposal approved in an organized and timely fashion. HeavyJob is used to track and forecast job performance across all three concurrent jobs. This helps to correctly allocating shared resources across the three jobs and to ensure our crews are not over- or under-committed for self-performed work.
